If the feeling is right.

Went out for a unforeseen photowalk a week ago. Totally uncalled for. Thats why i only brought a 50mm f1.8. But indeed i managed to get some pretty decent shots out of this lil monster. Some say russia has one of the most unsung but fabulous roman catholic churches. Some say they have one too many. I say If you take a deep breath and take your time to ponder. Its a rabbits hole, leading to architectural [...]

Weather in Moscow.

Well as the title cites, I personally am not a great fan of the weather here, due to it being somewhere in the extremes mostly. Thankfully moscow is like a great big tank of power. With their heaters blasted on throughout winter, and the best part is it doesn’t run up the bill. (i know its unfair for all you electric heater consumers out there.) But always, and always trust the weather report here in [...]

Best place to have a picnic, In Moscow.

As the winds pass and we come into the warm days of spring, the sun rays giving enough warmth to make you feel fuzzy like a bunny rabbit. We decided to go on a picnic, at one of moscow’s most prominent youth hangout places. Youth mountains, or otherwise known in gibberish, vorobyovi gory. Apparently we forgot to check the weather report, making us dress up in far less clothing than necessary. dont [...]

MOSCOW DREAMFLASH 2010.

I never spend so much time editing photos. But this is worth it. Dreamflash, does it really cater to your ideal name of a free open bubble party? Well you can call it whatever you like, but it was indeed one of the most amazing moscow experiences ive had in my entire 4 years here. Filled with bubbles and smiles from the youth, it would be a herculean task just to refrain from smiling for the whole 3 hours. It [...]

Can you spot the difference?

Having my dinner over at one of the countless japanese restaurants here in Moscow, it kinda amuses me why they love japanese cuisine so much. I can understand why asians like it, but for a country who got their ass kicked by 5ft tall japanese ninjas. I dont see why they still live to embrace their food. My guess is because russian food sucks. Like seriously. What amuses me more is that you could actually make [...]

Moscow Mourns, Day after Suicide Bombing.

It was all over the news, the press was working like clockwork. No rest, no sleep till every bit of the unfathomable event was covered. Till every dead body was recovered and every injured civillian was brought to aid. It was truly a moment to be remembered. The Moscow Metro Blast of 2010. BBC.CO.UK called in for an interview, my picture was up on their posts. CLICK HERE TO SEE. It had just been a day. But [...]

Moscow Metro Bombing 2010

It was an ordinary monday morning, with the usual hustle and bustle of the Moscow metro. Which transports about 5million passengers daily. I was woken from my slumber by the commotion just outside my window. It was sounds of sirens, initially i did not heed the sounds and labeled it as a morning nuisance. Far was i wrong. I came to know at 830. That not one, but two moscow subways were attacked by “terrorists”. [...]

Beer and Chewing Gum.

Faces, and why our lives revolve around them all day long. New people that we meet, the skepticism that we undergo, the feeling of enthusiasm onto the next date. All those other pretentious reasons why you hit the next gathering. Yet sometimes we meet people whom we truly feel comfortable with, with the slightest moments of a glance, we know at that moment that our lives would converge. As i said before, life [...]

We Still Have Snow.

Its been roughly 4 months of snowfall already, much longer than the usual bit of winter which we usually indulge in. According to the moscow mayor. There was a devised plan to make the snow drop onto the moscow city borders, thus leaving moscow snowless for the 2009/2010 winter. Well i guess that plan backfired, and now we have more snow than ever. With thick snow still going on thru March. A 2012 calling? [...]
